Due to the generous donation by PwC and after many months of fund-raising we have finally been able to purchase the new minibus for the band. The our new 2003 15-seat Transit will enable the band to continue gigging to maintain our essential income for the running of the band and will also benefit the local community and our outreach bands.

The band would like to congratulate Karina Atkinson on her reciept of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Volunteering Excellence Award 2006. The award was made for her many years of dedicated service to the band which has been recognised with a generous donation of £5,000 to go towards our new minibus and trailer. Karina will be travelling to London to accept the award at a special ceremony in Embankment Place on Monday 12th February 2007.

The August projects moves a step closer to becoming a big success after securing the use of a minibus for the project from North Tyneside Council Youth Services.
