For beginners from the ages of around 10 and upwards. This is where we teach the talent of the future. Everybody is welcome, whether a musician already or wanting to have a go at making music for the first time. With practice and dedication, players move up to the junior performance band and eventually the performance band. The training band currently meets each Wednesday evening (academic term time only) at the Langdale Centre in Wallsend. Contact us here if you want to know more.
A relaxed group of like-minded adults of varying ages who just love to make steel pan music. Meets every Wednesday evening to chat, laugh and occasionally practice playing some great classics at the Langdale Centre after the training band have finished. Precious metal is made up of parents of those who play in the junior bands, committee members and those that simply decided they would like to have a go at playing steel pans.
